​The Covert Protection Team, have extensive experience both in operations and teaching at every level, making what you do simple to learn and accurate in practice and reality.

Covert Protection provide you with an excellent basis of knowledge, that is current and realistic in its translation.

 We train you to become a competent security operative, with a view to guiding you through to becoming a specialist within the security industry with furthermore advanced trainings.

Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) awareness and security are specialised training courses for front line security operatives. The courses provide up-to-date counter-terrorism knowledge that will help you prepare for, and respond to, terrorist incidents whilst on duty.

The training programs of these units have been merged to create a unique hybrid training methodology that gives the student the benefit of several different perspectives on one topic. This ensures that the response of the Military/Law enforcement officer trained by Covert Protection/DA-IC is seldom predictable to the criminal since the techniques employed are distilled from a wide cross section of practical experience.

They are neither standard responses nor standard Special Forces responses but a hybrid mixture of both that is unique to Covert Protection/DA-IC. All our instructors are experienced Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) with experience ranging from Northern Island Internal security to NATO operations and SF clandestine and undisclosed tasks.

Each of our training programs is heavily action orientated and are designed to ensure equal measures of night and day exercises and operations. Quick response times, high levels of fitness and completed successful SF selection are expected of the candidates.

Control and Restraint is a ‘Final and Last Resort’ when all other options have failed, and the risk is too great. The techniques and skills delivered on this course will cover the theoretical and physical applications of the use of reasonable force and that can be applied from low level to medium to high-risk situations.

During the training sessions, every learner will be taught how to control and restrict a person’s movement. Learners will also be shown the best techniques to then move and guide that person safely to either a wall or, in final resort, go to ground to minimise the risks and threats to themselves and those around them.
